Mark Bilella, M.D.

Dr. Mark Bilella is the co-founder of Internal Medicine & Pediatrics of Tampa Bay. He is originally from New Jersey. He moved to Washington DC in 1991 to complete his undergraduate work at Georgetown University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology. He then went on to receive his M.D. from New Jersey Medical School. He moved to Florida to pursue a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of South Florida, Dr. Bilella is very proud to be part of the 2nd graduating Med-Peds class from USF. He trained at All Children’s Hospital, Tampa General Hospital, Moffitt Cancer Center, The James A Haley Veterans Hospital, as well as many local community clinics. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association. He is board certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.. He is also currently volunteer clinical faculty at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and has been involved in teaching medical students and residents. Dr. Bilella is married to Dr. Karen Ackley who is one of the pediatricians at Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. They have two children together. They love travel and sports of all kinds. They can often be found at professional sporting events supporting the local teams, or at the baseball and soccer fields watching their children compete.
