"Med-Peds" is an abbreviation for the combination of both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  A Med-Peds doctor refers to the physician who has trained in both specialties of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  Such training allows the physician to treat all age groups. These physicians are unique because they are eligible to be Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
